I met Emily and Jonathan through a previous bride and was immediately excited about their wedding plans. They live in South Carolina but dreamed of getting married in Italy and celebrating all weekend long with their family and friends. We worked together to create a custom photography package, including four days of coverage for all their wedding events, with my full team. This was truly the wedding of the year, and I’m so glad I could be a part of such a stunning destination wedding.
Jonathan and Emily’s celebration was so much more than a wedding—it was a full experience. With the help of White Emotion Events, they had four days of chic, luxurious events. We started our coverage on Thursday with a pre-wedding portrait session on a boat into Amalfi. On Friday, they hosted a welcome party at Trattoria da Lorenzo filled with incredible food and stunning views. Saturday was their wedding day, capped off with a high-energy after-party. And finally, they ended the weekend with a chic pool party right at the villa, the perfect way to say goodbye to all their guests.
One of the best things about hosting a wedding weekend at Villa La Rondinaia is the ability to have the full space for the entire weekend. The villa itself is massive, with gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces for celebrating and housing your guests. Jonathan and Emily particularly loved how secluded it was, perched on the side of a cliff and only visible from the sea. This venue provides the opulence you’d expect of coastal Italy and the coziness of a home for all your favorite people.
Emily and Jonathan spent the weekend providing endless, incredible looks. Emily wore Oscar de la Renta dresses for their portrait session, welcome party, and wedding after-party. She looked absolutely stunning in her Monique Lhuillier wedding gown and even had a Dolce and Gabbana swimsuit for the pool party.
And, of course, Emily wasn’t the only one with incredible taste! Jonathan wore classic Louboutins with his custom tux. Emily’s mom wore Oscar de la Renta, and her sister wore a custom dress in collaboration with Over the Moon and Alexia Maria. Every guest looked truly stunning, and it was clear that great taste runs in the family.
Every moment of this destination wedding weekend was full of intentional design and a love for Emily and Jonathan. I’ll never forget the moment the power went out during their reception, but the band continued to play, and guests continued to dance. There was nothing that could possibly dampen the mood on such an incredible day. If you’re planning a destination wedding in Italy and looking for timeless imagery of your celebration, I’d love to hear more about your wedding vision.
